We are pleased and proud to announce that Istituto Secoli's three-year course in Fashion Design and Technologies has been recognized by the MUR by Ministerial Decree No. 1262 of the 25th of September 2023: as of the academic year 2023/2024, Istituto Secoli is authorized to confer the Level I Academic Diploma equivalent to a Level I Bachelor's Degree. The Course in Fashion Design and Technologies is articulated, in accordance with the curricula of the Higher Institutes for Artistic Industry (ISIA), in a three-year program for the attainment of 180 educational credits (CFA).
The Ministerial Decree certifies the path of continuous development of Istituto Secoli, which, founded in 1934, is among the first fashion and haute couture schools to be established in Italy. Over the decades, the institute has promoted the study and knowledge of design and production processes, responding to the evolution of the sector: from made-to-measure to made-to-size -which came about between the 1940s and 1950s-, to the organization of industrial processes that marked the evolution of contemporary fashion. In all these phases of expansion, Istituto Secoli has positioned itself as an authoritative interlocutor of fashion brands and haute couture ateliers, becoming a reference for generations of fashion designers and fashion makers who began their journey here.
The knowledge and acquisition of design and implementation methodologies, distinctive of the best Made in Italy productions, are an integral part of the identity of the Institute, which is constantly turned to research and experimentation, and are the educational core of the three-year accredited program.
