If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.”

Antoine De Saint-Exupery

The element that made it unique and perhaps impossible to copy Made in Italy must be sought after in its origins: the quality artisan product is the effect of the competitive cooperation that was created within Italian artisant workshops and families in the second post-war period. The profound economic crisis and the resulting push generated from “hunger”, from the struggle for subsistence, started a virtuous mechanism that underlies for the planetary success of an entire sector. In this context, the italian craftsmanship has materialized, which in itself embraces five fundamental functions: research, design, creation, production, training.

Thanks to the profound knowledge of this organizational culture and to the contribution that Itself gave to the development of the professionalism of the Made in Italy clothing industry, Istituto Secoli developed Cell Design, an organizational model capable of stimulating the same competitive cooperation of the origins in people who create, design and produce Made in Italy by leveraging the "hunger" of search for motivation.
