In October the 'GLOCAL - MILAN MEETS GUADALAJARA' capsule was officially launched as part of a pilot project involving Istituto Secoli alongside the University of Guadalajara and promoted by a partnership also established by the Municipality of Milan , Government of Jalisco, Municipality of Guadalajara, Platform Formative Training System, BID (Inter-American Development Bank) and the Promoting Council of Innovation and Design of Guadalajara.
An initiative that wanted to create an important synergy between the expertise of Italian industry and the wealth of local folklore of the Mexican city through collaboration in the conception and development of a joint collection of transcultural fashion.
Thanks to the work of four young fashion designers Milan and Guadalajara and their territorial systems they were able to confront and interact with an exchange of skills and sustainable practices in the fashion world. Representing Milan: Chiara Salviato and Ludovica Rossi, two female students from the Secoli Institute; representing the Mexican metropolis two students from the University of Guadalajara chosen, Griselda Mendoza and Joselyn De Maria Gonzalez.
