ISTITUTO SECOLI NOVARA OPENS
On
Saturday September 24th 2022, in the ex Graphic Offices of De Agostini, the
new Istituto Secoli school in Novara was inaugurated, born from the union between
Istituto Secoli, the
town of Novara, and some of the most important companies of the territory, like
Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Herno, IN.CO., Versace and Zamasport.
Around 140 people participated from institutions, press, companies and partners in the project, including 20 young students enrolled in the new course of Prototyping, plus other visitors interested in knowing this fascinating project better.
The President Matteo Secoli stated: “The fashion industry needs lots of young people. Since we announced the birth of this course, not many months ago, the online page of Istituto Secoli Novara registered 43.000 clicks, and the presentation brochure was downloaded by over 1.000 people. It’s a clear signal that it’s not true that there aren’t any more young people who want to sew, but that there is still interest for the artisanal work, fundamental for the fashion system. We will give it all to train them and give them all the necessary tools to become professionals, asking the students their maximum effort.”
Even the Mayor of Novara, Alessandro Canelli, has remarked the importance of this educational program, which goes to complete one of the strategic plans for Novara’s territory; Herno’s President, Claudio Marenzi, on the other hand warmly encouraged the young students, inviting them to experience before becoming future fashion professionals.
Next appointment is on October 3d for the start of the new Fashion Prototyping course.
