Istituto Secoli celebrated the start of the new Academic Year with a special ceremony which took place on November 26th at the Leonardo Da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan. The event was an opportunity to celebrate an important anniversary, this year Istituto Secoli is celebrating its 90th birthday. To recognize the significant contribution, provided over the years by Istituto Secoli, the Centro Studi Grande Milano awarded Istituto Secoli the "Le Grandi Guglie della Grande Milano" award, reaffirming the value of technical education as a key element for innovation.
During the ceremony some important spokesmen of the sector spoke, reflecting on how innovation and tradition can coexist and inspire new generations, urging young designers to explore the future with the awareness of possessing solid technical foundations. We would like to thank: Elena Buscemi – President of the City Council of Milan, Mario Boselli – Honorary President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, Enrico Leonardo Fagone – Academic Director of the Istituto Secoli; Giuseppe Gaeta – Director of the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples and President of the Evaluation Unit of the Istituto Secoli, Fiorenzo Galli – Director of the National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo Da Vinci, Daniela Mainini – President of the Centro Studi Grande Milano, Claudio Marenzi – President of Herno Spa and former student of Istituto Secoli - for the precious contribution provided.
