On 11 and 13 November our Institute had the pleasure of hosting the Master's students in Fashion Experience and Design Management (MAFED) Sda Bocconi, on the occasion of the two-day workshop "Hands on Making Fashion".
The first day introduced participants to the development processes of a collection and illustrated the technical aspects of patternmaking, sewing and graphic and cad processes as a support. At the end of the day a short practical part: the students, helped by the teachers and divided into groups, have developed their own moodboard.
During the second day the basic concepts of patternmaking and construction of a paper model were tackled, which the group applied with practical examples and a final check on the quality of some jacket by comparing the measurements between patterns and prototypes.
