On the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2024, Istituto Secoli will bring -from April 15th to 20th- the creations of a selection of students to the heart of the fashion quadrilateral, at the Tosca Blu showroom on the second floor in via Montenapoleone n.5.
The collections of nine emerging Istituto Secoli designers are matched with accessories from the Tosca Blu FW24/25 collection in a symbiotic play of 'simultaneous contrasts'. Specially taken photographs by Virginia Ronzoni provide the backdrop.
The title of the exhibition is a tribute to Bruno Munari and one of his most popular books, 'Design and Visual Communication', first published in 1968.
Clothes and accessories, two parallel creative experiences, enter into dialogue to give life to multiple simultaneous contrasts: chromatic, of simple and complex lines, static and dynamic, soft and pointed shapes, pure and decorated surfaces, expressions of the present time and the future. The images, an integral part of the installation, invite reflection, to understand the possible dualities and grasp their potential.
