MATTEO SECOLI ELECTED PRESIDENT FOR THE DIRECTIVE BOARD OF PIATTAFORMA SISTEMA FORMATIVO MODA

Matteo Secoli is the new President of the Directive Board of PIattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda who, together with Alberico Guerzoni, Director of IED Milan, as Vice President, will lead the Association for the next 4 years. On the past January 18, the Shareholders' Meeting elected the two leaders together with the Directors Giuseppina Auricchio (Director of the IUAD Fashion Academy), Alessandro Bertini (Director of the Modartech Institute) and the outgoing President Donato Medici (Managing Director of NABA, Nuova Accademia of Fine Arts and CEO of Galileo Global Education).

Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda is the hub that, since 2008, brings together Italian institutes, schools and academies offering training courses in the fashion field. The schools included in the association have always had a close link with the Italian cultural, historical and industrial heritage, constituting a fundamental segment in the development of innovation and the enhancement of new talents, creating the tools to align training offer and market needs. The Association promotes every year the Fashion Graduate Italia event: the first and only free fashion week open to the public and dedicated to the best graduates and undergraduates students of academies, institutes and fashion schools; a reference point for orientation in the field of professions and fashion training.

Matteo Secoli states "Our Association aims to consolidate collaboration and exchange relationships with all the institutional stakeholders in the sector, with the spirit of service and openness that characterizes the associated academies and schools: training will increasingly be a central element around which the competitiveness of the Italian fashion industry will develop in the coming years, with the need on the one hand of new creative skills and professionalism - capable of fostering the digital evolution (or revolution) - and on the other the imperative to maintain, in Italy, the ability to "make" fashion and support the generational change taking place with the entry of young professionals into the sector."
