“Rosa Genoni (1867-1954): una donna alla conquista del ‘900” is the title of the exhibition which will be held in Milan from next 13th of January at Archivio di Stato and organized by Archivio di Stato with the Association Amici di Rosa Genoni, in collaboration with Anna Kuliscioff Foundation, Società Umanitaria and Profumo di Milano Cultural Association. The event, one of a kind, will host the Istituto Secoli outfits designed exclusively for the occasion. The exhibition curated by Elisabetta Invernici and Profumo di Milano Association underlines the commitment of the italian stylist Rosa Genoni to fashion and her involvement in teaching for the female emancipation. During the event two are the Istituto Secoli garments that will be available: the first one inspired by the Winged Victory of Samothrace and the second one by the Egyptian Kalasiris; both were carried out faithfully, with minimal variations, from the pattern and the descriptions written in the Rosa Genoni‘s book (1909) titled Per una moda italiana: modelli, saggi, schizzi di abbigliamento femminile, 1906-1909. Both dresses were created and sewed by Rebecca Formenti, student of Lingerie and Bridal Wear Master of Istituto Secoli.
