Istituto Secoli, together with local fashion brands, inaugurates a new headquarters in Novara. A school of excellence dedicated to the training of prototypists, with the aim of satisfying the growing need for technical figures within the fashion companies, where the figure of the prototypist is currently among the most sought after.
The companies involved in the project are: Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Herno, IN. CO Spa, Versace and Zamasport.
Istituto Secoli actively collaborate with the brands for a "tailor-made and located" training; where the Secoli Method interprets the professional needs of the prototyping departments of the companies, concretizing them in a training course that faithfully recreates the working environment of the territory, encouraging the growth of a shared professional culture and integrating the methodologies and experience of the Secoli team with the professional skills of the prototypists coming from the companies themselves. The course ends by opening the doors of the brands prototyping departement to the students by activating an internship program.
The new headquarters will be located in the area of the former Officine Grafiche De Agostini, a new contemporary district in which will coexist commercial, residential and training spaces: over 450 square meters dedicated to study and practice in prototyping, with classrooms/laboratory that reproduce in terms of technology and organizational model a real prototyping department; state-of-the-art tools and technologies will support applied student learning.
Starting from October 2022, young graduates and graduates will be able to attend the new course of high specialization "Fashion Prototyping". The training program will start from the study of the patternmaking method, raw materials and fabrics, it will focus on the practice of cutting and ironing techniques, industrial and tailoring methodologies, moulage and defects correction, it will addresses the criteria and methodologies for the industrialization of the product, in addition to quality control.
