Istituto Secoli took part in the Scuola dei Mestieri project promoted by Amici per il Centrafrica Onlus, a lay association that has been operating in the Central African Republic since 2001, aiming to create a genuine bond between those who help and those who are helped.
The training initiatives promoted by the Association aim to generate the spread of skills: by January 2020 the first fashion course will start within the La Joie de Vivre Center in Bangui.
The Institute has provided two scholarships to support the training of future teachers - Agnes Beya Ngalula and Berthile Kaze. The study plan for the fashion course that will take place inside the Scuola dei Mestieri has also been completed.
Agnes and Berthile since last October have followed a 10-month intensive educational path that has allowed them to study subjects such as modeling, sewing and CAD. Once back in Africa, their mission will be to train young people with a strong passion for fashion, identifying who among them will be able to become teachers.
